NIQR came into existence in July 1987 with the amalgamation of Quality Assurance and India Association of Quality and Reliablity.
International Role Models
NIQR is Indian in outlook and attuned to the needs of Indian industry and business. Yet , it derives considerable inspiration from such internationally acclaimed as institutions as JUSE ( union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers ), ASQC ( American Society for Quality Control ) and EOQC ( European organization for Quality Control ).
There is much to be learnt from their efforts and expertise which, if properly adapted to our conditions, would result in a deeper and broader appreciation of quality as a total concept.
