NIQR is very much happy in announcing  a  One day programme on   “  FAILURE MODE EFFECFTS ANALYSIS – ( FMEA )  ”  scheduled to be held on  28th  July 2010 ( Wednesday) at NIQR Conference Hall, Round Table House , First Floor, No. 80.Nungambakkam High Road, Chennai 600 034.

 

About the Programme

After globalization, Indian Industries are improving the quality to compete with global competitors.  Those industries which could not improve will vanish and hence all are looking for improvement methods continuously. Expectations of customers are also increasing at higher rate. They need better quality at lower cost day by day.

In order to meet the requirements cost is to be reduced. Cost of the defects are not accepted by customers. Industries are forced to produce with Zero Defects.

Quality is also expected at higher level for lower cost. Better functions are demanded day by day and no compromise is made on functions.

Failure Mode Effect Analysis ( FMEA ) is a scientific ans systematic mechanism the taken into account all failure modes and their effects in order to take appropriate preventive measures to ensure that they are avoided or reduced.

Lecture session in English along with practical exercise on FMEA

  1.  Potential failure modes.
  2. The effect of failure on customers
  3. Seriousness of the effects and severity
  4. Cause for the failures
  5. Preventive methods for eliminate or reduce the occurrence of failure or cause
  6. Defection of failure or cause after the occurrence
  7. Calculating risk priorities and setting priorities for correction actions
