The 44th program in the series was conducted at Sriram Engineering College, Perumalpattu, Chennai on 21st August 2019. Department of Automobile Engineering organised the program. There were 150 students mainly from Automobile Engineering.
Dr. P. Prabhu, Associate Professor & Head, Automobile Engineering addressed and welcome the gathering. Mr. D. Jagadesh, Asst. Prof gave a brief introduction about the Guest. Head of the Department honored the Chief Guest.
The program was from 10.30AM to 1.00PM. The faculty, Mr. C. V. Gowri Sankar, National Secretary, NIQR advised the students to be interactive and learn a new topic not in their syllabus.
The faculty briefed the students about NIQR and its activities and its mission 20K. The students showed keen interest in the challenges and opportunities facing the country today. They were also very interactive and appreciative of the videos shown to explain the concepts. They showed keen interest about additional skills required for career development like use of AI, IOT, Cloud, Data Analytics and 3D printing in today’s manufacturing sector.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. S. Dinesh, Asst. Prof for the valuable guest lecture program. Some of the staff members wanted NIQR to organise similar programs regularly to make the students industry ready.
